Approach shots are used to approach the green. With no doubt, the approach shots are the most significant and vital drive up that a player will handle during the game. You can keep your tee shot anywhere within 100 and 30 yards from the hole. The proportional shot distance is used to keep your ball near to hole as close as possible. Approach shots are very difficult to play and it need a lot of experience and brainwave to play.
Approach shots are arranged according to the distance from the green and the techniques. The longer approaches shot are taken placed in green ground are called pitch shots. Chip shot is another part of the approach shots it also related to the distance from the hole. Approach shots could be defined in 3 primary approaches namely the pitch shot, chip shot and flop shot. With little variations, handling these shots is simple and of course requires experience to handle it.
